Vừa cùng hát với bạn
Nước mắt trào tuôn
Ôi khí phách những đứa con của Mẹ
Là con dân Việt
Có ai xem đoạn video này mà mắt không rướm lệ
Không đớn đau, không phẫn uất, hờn căm?
Ai giải phóng ai mà đã 36 năm
Dân phải sống trong cơ bần tủi nhục
Ôi “độc lập, tự do, hạnh phúc”
Chỉ dành riêng cho thiểu số cầm quyền?
Ranh giới, biển đảo, tài nguyên chỉ là của riêng
Muốn sang nhượng
Muốn cống dâng cho giặc thù mặc ý
Dân phản đối, vướng vào vòng lao lý
Bị khảo tra, bị đánh đập thương tâm
Ta cần làm gì hỡi tuổi trẻ Việt Nam?

Who has been liberated by whom, if for the last 36 years
The people have been forced to live in poverty and shame

Are they just for the few in power?
The frontier, the sea, and islands, the resources are all theirs to sell
And to offer to the enemy’s court at will
Protesters get in trouble with the law
They are questioned and beaten up without mercy
What should we do, o Vietnamese youth?

We will protect our land, we swear to die for the country! *”
