Chào Đón Hạ-Vy – Welcome Hạ-Vy Ellie Vũ

ngày 20.10.26

*Khúc hát dành tặng cháu ngoại đầu lòng — Hạ-Vy (Ellington)*

Tháng Tám năm nào… Houston mưa bão
Một đóa hoa tươi… vừa hé môi cười
Giữa cơn giông tố ngập trời
Hạ-Vy bé nhỏ… chào đời…
Thương quá… là thương!

Sáng Chủ Nhật, Ba cháu báo tin mừng
Cháu ngoại đầu lòng… vừa được hạ sinh
Niềm vui chan chứa,
Đầy nỗi băn khoăn
Giữa giông bão làm sao nhìn được cháu

Nước dâng khắp nẻo đường
Thương cháu, thương con,
Biết làm sao gặp được
Chỉ có thể nhìn qua màn hình điện thoại
Mà trong lòng bứt rứt
Thương quá là thương!

Bão Harvey cấp bốn đi qua
Kingwood chìm giữa phong ba bão bùng
Bên Nội, bên Ngoại ngóng trông
Mong trời mau tạnh, mong dòng nước vơi

Hạ-Vy ơi… cháu yêu của ông
Cháu đến giữa bão, bao lòng xót xa
Làm sao cháu về được nhà
Bao giờ ông bà bồng bế cháu yêu

Hạ-Vy ơi… Ellie Vu ơi
Tên nghe như tiếng “I Love You” ngọt ngào
Dẫu đời còn lắm lao đao
Cháu mang hạnh phúc đến bao gia đình.

Đêm ấy nước đã tràn nhà
Ba đưa Mẹ vượt phong ba đến nhà thương
May thay chiếc truck kịp đường

Tên nghe như tiếng “I Love You” ngọt ngào
Dẫu đời còn lắm lao đao
Cháu mang hạnh phúc đến bao gia đình.

Chủ Nhật cháu đến với đời
Chiều Thứ Tư Ba Mẹ cháu… mới rời nhà thương
Nước vẫn ngập các nẻo đường
Ông bà nôn nóng khôn lường cháu ơi
Bao nhiêu đường sá ngập sâu
Bao nhiêu thương nhớ gửi qua màn hình

Rồi ngày mong đợi cũng sang
Đường sá mở lối, nắng vàng đây sân
Ông bà vui sướng vô ngần
Gọi nhau ơi ới đến bồng Ellington.

Ôi, giây phút… vui ngập lòng
Cháu ngoan nằm gọn trong vòng tay ông
Bốn ngày mưa gió mênh mông
Bỗng tan đi hết giữa vòng tay ôm

Ông nhìn đôi má thơ ngây
Nhìn đôi mắt nhỏ ngủ say dịu dàng
Bao nhiêu lo lắng ngổn ngang
Hóa thành hạnh phúc ngập tràn trong tim.

Hạ-Vy ơi… Ellie Vu ơi
Tên nghe như tiếng “I Love You” ngọt ngào
Dẫu đời còn lắm lao đao
Cháu mang hạnh phúc đến bao gia đình.

Hạ-Vy ơi… Ellie Vu ơi
Tên nghe như tiếng “I Love You” ngọt ngào

I Love You…
Cháu ngoại đầu lòng của ông…

Tháng 9/2017

WELCOME, HẠ-VY
A Song for My First Granddaughter — Hạ-Vy (Ellington)

That August long ago… Houston drowned in rain
A tender flower smiled… as life began
While storms were raging overhead
Little Hạ-Vy ELLINGTON… came into the world…
Oh, how we loved you so!

Sunday morning, her Daddy called with the news
Our first granddaughter had arrived
Our hearts were overflowing with joy
Yet filled with worry deep inside
Amid the storm, how could we see you?
How could we hold you in our arms?

The waters rose along the roads
We missed you, child, we missed your mom
And there was nothing we could do
But watch you through a phone’s small screen
Our hearts were restless, longing for you
Oh, how we loved you so!

Hurricane Harvey, Category Four
Kingwood was swallowed by the storm
Both sides of the family watched and prayed
For skies to clear, for waters to fall

Ellington, dear… the diamond of my heart
You came amid the storm, and filled our hearts with love
How could your parent bring you safely home?
When would we hold our precious little one?

Ellington, dear… sweet Ellie Vu
Ellie-Vu sounds just like “I Love You”
Though life may bring its share of tears
You brought joy to every heart, my dear.

That night, the waters reached your home
Your dad drove through the storm with Mom
Thank God their truck could make it through
Who knows if a helicopter would have come in time?

At dawn, as morning light appeared
You entered this world, wrapped in love
Outside, the rain still flooded every road
And Mom at times had to wait in the hallway
Until the storm would pass away
While anxious hearts kept hoping, praying
Harvey slowly weakened from its fury
But roads stayed flooded, and we waited for good news.

Ellington, dear… the diamond of my heart
You came amid the storm, and bloomed within our hearts
We prayed the rain would soon move on
So all your grandparents could hold you close.

Ellington, dear… sweet Ellie Vu
Ellie-Vu sounds just like “I Love You”
Though life may bring its share of tears
You brought joy to every heart, my dear.

On Sunday, you came into our world
By Wednesday afternoon, your parents brought you home
But water still covered every road
And, oh, how we longed to hold you close!

So many roads lay deep beneath the floods
So much love traveled through a little screen
Then came the day we’d waited for
The roads were open; sunshine touched the yard
Our hearts leaped up with boundless joy
We called to one another, hurrying to hold Ellington.

Oh, what a moment, overflowing joy
My precious child, at last within my arms
Four days of rain and restless waiting
Melted away in one embrace.

I gazed upon your tender cheeks
Your little eyes asleep in peace
All the worries we had carried
Turned to happiness within my heart.

Ellington, dear… sweet Ellie Vu
Ellie-Vu sounds just like “I Love You”
Though life may bring its share of tears
You brought joy to every heart, my dear.

Ellington, dear… sweet Ellie Vu
Ellie-Vu will always say “I Love You”
Your parents named you Vũ Hương Ellington
But Hạ-Vy was the name your grandpa gave you.

Hạ-Vy Ellington, dear… our first grandchild
A precious gift to both our families
As you grow into the years ahead
May you remember all the love we share.

Hạ-Vy, Ellington dear…
Sweet Ellie Vu…
I wrote this song for you
To keep these precious days alive…

Vũ Hương Ellington…
My precious Hạ-Vy Ellington…
I love you…
My first granddaughter…
Forever in your grandpa’s heart.
