A weathered leaf still clings upon the bough,
\nEnduring sun and rain through countless days;
\nIt sighs in peace when monsoon winds allow,
\nAnd joins the fallen leaves in measured praise.
\nIt smiles at leaves still green with youthful glow,
\nRejoices in new buds, so fresh and fair;
\nIt learns contentment watching seasons flow,
\nAnd breathes with life\u2019s brief beauty, light as air.<\/p>\n

When autumn deepens gold with mottled scars,
\nThe leaf intones a prayer\u2014Nam M\u00f4\u2014so still;
\nIt listens to the wind, the drifting stars,
\nAnd tilts its gaze toward earth with quiet will.
\nAs if to ask where rest might softly lie,
\nWhen time arrives to fall, not asking why.<\/p>\n

Winter departs\u2014warm rains begin to sing;
\nAround it, yellow leaves descend with grace.
\nThe leaf responds with mercy, murmuring:
\n\u201cWhat profit comes from noise or anxious haste?
\nAll things are bound to rise and pass away\u2014
\nFrom man to grass to bloom that fades in day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then spring returns with air made pure and bright,
\nNew shoots ascend, awakened by the breeze;
\nThe leaf blends hues with blossoms bathed in light,
\nAnd greets the world in gentle harmonies.
\nYet summer comes\u2014harsh winds, unending strain;
\nThe leaf grows thin, its strength worn down by pain.<\/p>\n

For though all change obeys creation\u2019s law,
\nWho greets farewell without a trembling heart?
\nThe leaf still clings, still sways in fragile awe,
\nUnknowing when it must at last depart.
\nEven cicadas falter in their song,
