Spring, 2012<\/p>\n

Spring comes in festival array,
\nFlowers blaze in colors rich and bright;
\nThe heavens arch in endless blue,
\nWhile grass and leaves rejoice in light.
\nPines and wind compose their mingled song,
\nAnd birds confide their joy to every branch.<\/p>\n

My heart abides in peaceful ground,
\nIts happiness a rising tide;
\nIf only we\u2014just you and I\u2014
\nCould walk this gentle world side by side,
\nAlong the quiet stream behind the hill,
\nA beckoning kiss, your head upon my shoulder still.<\/p>\n

Let all the bitterness be laid aside,
\nThe exile of a life long torn and tried;
\nFor spring, like blossoms in full flame,
\nMust fade when seasons change their name.
\nWhat stays is this \u2014 when all has gone away:
\nOnly you and I, and love that dares remain (*)
\nAt season\u2019s end.<\/p>\n

I miss your eyes, so bright and clear,
\nHalf-veiled by locks the playful wind unbinds;
\nYour lips\u2014so shy\u2014bewitch the passing butterflies.
\nYou turn away just as I lean in near;
\nFlowers hide your smile in gentle play,
