I returned trying to find the old place

\nAfternoon flooded with sunset, gray mist falls
\nWestward of the city, fading shadows of swallows.
\nSilently in the East, only a forlorn human figure.<\/p>\n

Standing in the middle of nowhere calling
\nWhere are all of my old friends
\nFeeling lost in the heart of the city,
\nMy soul was steeped in melancholy.<\/p>\n

Saigon has changed beyond expectation
\nThe streets are messy, the city is crammed.
\nHere and there, alleys full of unfamiliar names.
\nLosing my way back, I wander in a daze.<\/p>\n

I bow, counting each heavy step,
\nHearing the tearful of sadness about to fall.
\n“Saigon is so beautiful!” Now lost its melody,
\n“Oh, Saigon!” A mournful, nostalgic call!<\/p>\n

Oh, it\u2019s all just memories.
\nThe old Saigon has disappeared as birds fly away.
\nFreedom, humanism, and elegance,
\nHas gone away for a long time, and nobody knows!<\/p>\n

How bitter it is to say goodbye,
\nPainfully seeking traces of the past,
\nOnly see glistening sunshine everywhere.
\nGolden pasts are nowhere to be found.
