Đọc tin tức hàng ngày buồn khôn xiết
Đất nước điêu linh, vận nước nổi trôi
Cùng đau lòng với quê mẹ xa xôi
Giặc xâm lấn dồn máu trào lên mắt
Càng đọc lòng ta càng đau quay quắt
Lửa căm hờn như bốc cháy trong tim
Giận cho Bộ Chính Trị quá đê hèn
Tàn ác với dân, khiếp nhược với giặc
Dân vào tù bởi lòng yêu Tổ Quốc
Bị đánh dã man tội chống ngoại xâm
Lũ tham quan ô lại nỡ nhẫn tâm
Cúi gằm mặt triều dâng máu xương Tiên Tổ
Đáng lẽ Việt Nam cũng con rồng, con hổ
Cũng vươn lên như các nước Á châu
Nay yếu hèn, khiếp nhược bởi vì đâu
Khi quỹ dữ hiện nguyên hình man rợ
Trí thức, sinh viên, thanh niên ai cũng sợ
Chỉ cúi đầu khuất phục lũ sài lang
Bỏ đâu rồi hồn dân tộc hiên ngang?
Niềm hãnh diện Rồng Tiên còn hay mất?
Đất đai mất, biển đảo từ từ mất
Lại mất luôn tính dân tộc quật cường
Anh chị ơi mau giành lại quê hương
Chẳng lẽ quay lưng đợi chờ nô lệ?

Oh where is our Dragon and Fairy pride
I’m full of sorrow at the daily news
Of a destroyed country, of its troubled fate
My heart aches along with the faraway motherland
That’s being invaded. I cry tears of blood
My pain and sadness grow with each news
The fire of hate ignites in my heart
I’m angry with the cowardly Political Bureau
That abuses the people but cringes from the enemy
People are imprisoned for loving their country
They are beaten mercilessly for opposing the foreign invasion
While corrupt officials heartlessly
Grovel before the court to offer the Ancestors’ blood and bones
We Vietnamese are descendants of dragons and tigers
We should have grown along with the other Asian countries
Why are we now so cowardly and weak
The devil has shown his true barbarous self
Intellectuals, students, and young people
are all afraid
Meekly bowing before the jackals
Where is the proud spirit of our people?
Is the Dragon and Fairy pride still intact?
Land has been lost, the sea and islands are being lost
Our people’s fighting spirit has faltered
Brothers and sisters, let’s get back our homeland
Don’t just turn your backs and wait to be enslaved.
